How to Ride the PRT

  1. Make sure your Mountaineer Card works. This is your ticket to a free ride on the PRT. You will tap it at the turnstile and select your station destination.
  2. Plan your route. Find the station closest to your starting and ending locations. Give yourself plenty of time to get to your destination. View the PRT Wayfinding map.
  3. Pay attention to the signs. When you enter the platform, head toward the gate with the sign that displays your station destination.
  4. Take a break and wait. Look for the gold and blue car coming around the corner. Your wait time depends on a few factors, like how many other people are going your same direction.
  5. Take a ride! Being conscious of other riders, enter the PRT car. Take a seat or grab a pole in the center to keep yourself stationary. Enjoy the unique view of campus.
