50 cents

Students, faculty, and staff must tap their Mountaineer ID Card at the PRT station turnstile for free entry.

  1. Plan your route and arrive at your station.

Find the PRT station closest to your starting and ending locations. Give yourself plenty of time to get to your destination.

  2. Tap your Mountaineer ID Card (or pay) and select your destination.

Head towards the turnstile, tap your Mountaineer ID Card and select your destination station. If you are a WVU Morgantown student, faculty, or staff member, your ID card grants you a free ride. If you are not, you can pay 50 cents to ride.

  3. Enter the platform and find your gate.

After tapping your ID card to enter the platform, head toward the gate with the sign that displays your station destination.

  4. Take a break and wait.

Look for the gold and blue car coming around the corner. Your wait time depends on a few factors, like how many other people are going your same direction.

  5. Take a ride!

Being conscious of other riders, enter the PRT car. Take a seat or grab a pole in the center to keep yourself stationary. Enjoy the unique view of campus.
